Keep the spirit of the tradition and choose your own protective pumpkin. Choose only healthy pumpkins, which are orange all around. Then, cut the upper part. Start by cutting a hole in the upper part of the pumpkin, but make sure that the blade of the knife is oriented towards the middle of the pumpkin, not towards you. Then, clean it up properly. Use a wooden spoon and take out the cores. Try to remove as much from the pulp as possible around the area where you want the face to be, at least until you make the face. The simplest way to do this is to draw a face on a sheet of paper and to stick it to the pumpkin afterwards. Then, draw the lines of the face with something. In the end, you just have to remove the sheet of paper.
Then, start cutting, following the lines you have just drawn. You should have a lot of patience and a lot of skill because certain pieces can fall apart. You don’t have to start over if something like this happens. Just use some glue and stick them back. Then, pour some oxygen water in the pumpkin in order for it to be intact for a few more days. Keep the edges you have cut using different kinds of petrol components. Last but not least, illuminate it. Make a candlestick which you put on the bottom of the pumpkin. Put a candle there on Halloween and light it up. You can also use small electric light bulbs.
